This is NOT what we are making, but I saw this quilt last weekend at the show and couldn't resist taking close ups of these awesome madders! Maybe the photos will help you decide on what fabric to use.
Pink and madder seem a weird combination, but it works and was used frequently together. Even if you don't like it, I challenge you to add some pink.
I've shown you a few stacks of fabric for a couple of weeks now. Here they are again. I started pulling anything close to madder, shirtings (my criteria was only black and white/offwhite) and one pink.
The quilt will finish at 24" square.
Start by cutting 16 total madder and pink 3 1/2" squares. (I did cut 2 pink- not showing in the photo)
And 16- 3 1/2" shirtings.
We will make some 4 patches
6 total
And 4- 2 patches.
I know a lot of you are trying to finish up your medallion. I'll give plenty of time until I post Part 2. This will be the first quiltalong I don't have mine made before you all! That's on my list for this weekend!
Here's my instagram feed for the week.
Be back Monday!
